I just read a post at The Green Atheist blog. http://thegreenatheist.com/2007/02/20/better-off-without-god/ entitled “Better Off Without God”. It cites an article by someone who thinks as the title suggests that we are better off without God. I suppose it is up to the individiual to decide such a thing. I am shut out of the blog and could not post a comment so I thought I would comment about it here.
I think the important thing is how big, powerful and influencial the nation is which would be more likly to determine how much evil it could do in the world. Evil is a very subjective thing. What one person considers evil, such as how Israelis treat Palestinians, another considers to be right.
The United States was built by Christians and it has always been and still is predominately Christian. Have we been a perfect country. No but there is no doubt that the people of the United States are a good and generous people. The trouble comes when the rich get elected to public office as a result of corporate money and then they proceed to do what is in the interests of the corporations and base our foreign policies upon greed and we fail to treat others as we should. The failures are in regard to the rich and powerful and in the fact that rich elites run the government. It is not easy to fix such a system.
Leo Struass is the neocons’ philospher and he taught that Jews could worm their way into the government, get rid of the old ruling class and take their place if they kept their true agenda a secret. Neocons run the republican party and 60% of the democrats’ campaign money comes from Jews. Our middle east policy is evil but it is Jews, not Christians, who are behind this policy. So much for a nation of believers doing evil. The evil is that Christians allow Jews to take over the government.
Jews are doing what Hitler did. Jews in Israel want a pure Jewish nation and a Greater Israel. Talk about an evil nation. They are engaging in ethnic cleansing, aparteid and genocide. They are oppressing and killing non-Jews in order to create a pure nation just as Hitler killed non-aryans in order to create a purely aryan nation.
The United States is supporting Israel because of Jewish money and influence in our government and not because Christians are evil. Just as The Green Atheist puts out propaganda that results in attacks upon Christians, Jews have relied heavily upon propaganda in order to bring about their policies. Even today to attack Israel or Jews results in the person being labeled an anti-semite. As tho Askanazi Jews have any semite DNA.
I certainly don’t think the United States is a bad country and compared to places like Nigeria or Israel I think believing in God and basing your laws upon those beliefs is a good thing. If Christians treated Jews like they treat Muslims and Christians then people such as Green Atheist wouldn’t even be allowed in our country to shoot off his mouth and spout his hate crimes.
The education level and economic level that a nation has probably plays a more important role and determines whether or not it will do evil things than whether or not the people are believers in a god.
Al Gore, an old ruling class elite and a Chrsitian, was told he would get no democratic party money by the old moneybags and was forced to drop out of the presidential race. Then those who control the money foist John Kerry off on us. Kerry is a rabid Zionist and warmonger and the moneybags in the Democratic party guaranteed that whether a liberal or a neocon got into the White House we would invade iraq, destablize the middle east and defeat Israel’s enemies. How does denying the Christians a real choice in an election translate into belief in God being evil and causing nations that believe in God to do more evil than those who don’t have such beliefs? Inquiring minds want to know.
Furthermore The Green Atheist has links on his website that ridicule Christianity and Christians. His freedom of speech is protected by these Chrsitian majorities. Perhaps he and people like him could learn a lesson from these believers which he seems to hate so much. After all these people hold the fate of Israel in the palms of their hands. I’d be careful about spreading hated and propaganda against them if I were in his shoes. Particularly since so many like him would rather live in a Christian country than in mucking Israel. They probably wouldn’t like it here if they were successful in their attempts to remake this nation in their own image. Why they’d have to pack up and move on to the next rising economy which is probably china. Some people are never happy and must make others as miserable and empty as they are.
